Our History
August 2018
The GHM Fire Safety Innovation Technology General Association (Prequel) was originally established as the GHM Fire Safety Association. It was founded with sponsorship from the founding president and members before the Century Virus COVID pandemic.
2018 onwards
Over 300 professionals, engineers, research institutions, and enterprises from Shenzhen, Macau, Hong Kong, and other cities in Guangdong Province served as founding members. Its aim was to promote technical exchanges on enhancing the quality and complexity of application and management systems in the Greater Bay Area, coordinating with geopolitical development.
November 2024
The association was officially renamed from the GHM Fire Safety Association to the GHM Fire Safety Innovation Technology General Association, through unanimous approval by Mr. Yu Si-yang (Founding President), Ms. Hu Qi-fang (Vice President), Mr. C.K. Cheung (current Chair of Supervisory Committee), and Mr. Simon Choi (President).

In the face of formidable challenges, our association has emerged stronger and more determined than ever. A long-standing social unrest and the unprecedented upheaval of a once-in-a-century pandemic cast a dark shadow over our community, leading to profound losses. But we are not a community that succumbs to despair. In 2014, as normalcy gradually returned, a new chapter began. The founding president, along with a dedicated group of enduring founding members, came together with a shared vision – to rebuild, to thrive, and to lead. They recognized that these trials were not roadblocks but rather stepping stones to a brighter future.
Strategic Transformation & Regional Expansion
With unwavering resolve, they set in motion a comprehensive transformation. The association’s structure was reimagined, and a dynamic new management team was elected, breathing fresh life into our organization. Our new strategy was bold and far-reaching: we would expand beyond the familiar boundaries of the Greater Bay Area, forging alliances with nations across the region. By establishing local branches, we would offer tailored services to members, ensuring that every individual and business felt supported and empowered. These branches would form the roots of our network, while the main headquarters would act as the guiding force, uniting us all in pursuit of our common goals.
Hong Kong’s Legacy & Asia-Pacific Vision
The creation of a cutting-edge service platform was the final piece of the puzzle, a gateway to endless business opportunities for our members. Our greatest asset? The unparalleled reputation of Hong Kong. For years, its exacting standards and unwavering commitment to excellence have earned global acclaim. We leverage this legacy to provide top-tier professional services to regions far and wide, acting as a catalyst for economic growth and trade. Our ambitions extend far beyond the Greater Bay Area. We are honored to have received Mr. Luo Dexiang’s support and to become an honorary advisor to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Fire Safety Innovation and Technology Association, Mr. Luo is also an honorary lieutenant general of the Philippine Coast Guard, honorary president of the International Police Association (Hong Kong Chapter), and honorary chairman of the Thai International Police Foundation.
